Ours is a story that began almost three quarters of a century ago. At the family home in Arcadia, Athlone, Oliver Carty cooked, dressed, weighed and wrapped his first ham and “The Carty Way’ was born. Now, as then, it’s a way of doing things that not only embraces time-honoured traditions and an unmistakeable sense of Irish-ness, it also puts innovation, imagination and a passion for quality at the heart of everything we do.
Based in Athlone, County Roscommon, our range of pork and bacon is Bord Bia Quality Assured and also includes 100% Irish turkey medallions and lardons. At Oliver Carty & Family we source a specially selected range of pork exclusively from the Little River Pig Farm, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, to create our range of bacon and rashers. We have our own smoke-house, using only use natural woods like beech, oak and cherrywood, and our products are cured using Irish Atlantic Sea Salt harvested on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork. The Carty Way helps us deliver on our promise that you’ll “Taste the Carty Cure’ in products that are uniquely flavoursome as they are quality assured.
