Wexford Home Preserves

At Wexford Home Preserves batch kitchen in the historic town of New Ross, Co. Wexford, Tom and Laura Sinnott make what they aim to be the best jams, marmalades, savoury and speciality preserves in the world.

Every product is made by hand in small batches using only natural ingredients sourced as locally as possible using the traditional open pan boiling method.

This small family business, started in 1988 by Tom’s aunt Ellen as a way to make the most of home-grown fruit surpluses, has won the coveted 3 Gold Star Great Taste Award three times as well as Gold in the World Marmalade Awards, along with a great haul of other respected food awards including Blas na hÉireann and the Irish Quality Food Awards.

How do they do it? The secret to their success is the time and effort they put into finding the best ingredients and getting to know the fruit growers, preparing the fruit by hand – even down to making their own natural pectin using lemon pips and apples – and cooking with the greatest of care.

Available in lots of good food retailers nationwide and from their online shop where you can also order beautiful hampers and gifts.
