Ballykeefe Distillery

Ballykeefe is set in the picturesque countryside, close to Ireland’s medieval capital, Kilkenny city. It is an independent, artisan, entirely family-owned, Single Estate Whiskey Distillery, where whiskey is triple distilled from barley sown, grown, harvested, milled, fermented and distilled on the family farm, making it a truly “field to glass” operation. The Ging family have an unbroken lineage of farming for centuries as far back as written records exist. Ballykeefe is located in the region which is renowned for the earliest written accounts of distilling in Ireland, recorded in the Red Book of Ossory in 1324.

Ballykeefe’s mission is to produce the finest traditional Irish Whiskey and spirits. A multiple award winner for quality and sustainability, the distillery was designed to achieve the lowest possible carbon foot print, with zero off-farm waste and includes a fully circular economy of feeding the by-products of distillation to the livestock on the farm.
